I was wondering if maybe there is a patch or how to maybe override records or just fix this issue.

WebJul 17, 2011 · This mod adds a APA from Fallout 2. The stats are are only a bit higher than the renmant's power armor, but if they're still too high or too low, you can chinge them in the GECK. I took Lexx's meshes and made some little modifications, like fixing the pip-boy arm or replacing the radiation-symbol with the animated fan of the renmant's power armor.
